Random Things

We are home this weekend just trying to get some things done around the house and relax. Since the boys have started school we have really started to notice just how big they are becoming--both physically and emotionally. We have been very lucky b/c they have both loved school and they have just been doing and saying the funniest things. Poor little Landon Smith has been having a rough time when Vanessa drops him off at school and Vanessa overheard Jack tell the other kids that "we need to take special care of Landon today". We asked the boys to look out for Landon the same way they look out for each other and they are happy to help...although Luke still thinks he's supposed to look out for Clare, his little girlfriend down the street! (BTW-It just takes Landon a few minutes to warm up and he loves it too---I'll get back to you on his mother's progress!) The picture above is of all 3 of them last week before they started school--Landon looks just like Vanessa and is a little devil like her too! Mom-Mom and Pop-Pop picked Jack and Luke up from school on Thursday and they were thrilled to see them waiting for them. Luke wanted to make sure that they would remember to take his picture when he ran out of the building. He asked me to remind Mom-Mom and Pop-Pop to bring the camera. Have I created monsters??? Nah!

Some funny observations/favorite things...
Luke has this unbelievable sense of direction. As soon as we get in the car he tells me what turns to make to get to our destination. CVS--make a left. Mom-Mom and Pop-Pop's--make a right, go past the boathouses, over the bridge etc..

This morning Luke started to whine/cry about something and Jack said " let's try to not get him upset so he doesn't start to cough again..."

When asked what they want to be for Halloween, Jack has suggested Lightning McQueen several times, but Luke has suggested a full moon, a crescent moon, a fire engine, Tow Mater, a hand, a fire fighter...you get the point. I guess we'll all be surprised. Although my money would be on a pair of pajamas!

Every time we take them to Rita's Jack orders a cherry and Luke a vanilla. Without fail--the same every time!

I caught Luke upstairs the other day "reading" a book that he told me "was his favoritest book from when he was a baby that he used to read all the time" The book was Don Juan.

They both love soft pretzels and would eat them all day long. Luke--lots of salt, Jack--plain.

Dan was watching the Phillies game with them and he asked them what it was called when someone hit a Home_ _ _ Luke responded "it's a homeSTEAD ave".

When I ask Jack what he is, he says "adorable!" More later.....have a good weekend!
