Disney Day 1--Planes, trains & automobiles AND buses, boats and monorails

Sit down, grab a cup of coffee and get ready to be delighted with tales of Mickey, Minnie and a few tantrums. Day 1, travel day, is always a little rough but we actually did pretty good on the way down. The boys sat quietly, aided by Caillou on the ipods, for the entire flight down. They "helped" the pilot take off by flapping their arms and stared out the window in awe most of the flight. They thanked the pilot when we landed and told him that their Pop-Pop flies planes too! When we arrived at the airport it was empty. There wasn't another person in line or waiting for the bus to the hotel. We jumped right on a bus and were at our hotel in 35 minutes. We stayed at Pop Century which was a little too sprawling for us with too small rooms but the boys loved it. We checked in, got settled and headed back out for our 1st dinner at the Hoop-de-doo-review at 7:15. The boys had no naps so we knew it would be a gamble but we actually made it until 9:00-The food was delicious and the show really cute. Notice the photo where Jack put his straw in the mac and cheese. The boys chowed down on hot dogs, lemonade and mac and cheese. We did skip out a little early and hopped on the boat then a bus back to our hotel and in bed by 10PM. Tomorrow--haircuts at the Magic Kingdom!
