Day 2- The Magic Kingdom

Happy 8th Anniversary to us! We arrived at the Magic Kingdom a few minutes before 9 AM--just in time for the opening show and raced straight to the Barber Shop to get a few pounds of hair cut off the boys heads. This truly is the only haircut they get where they sit still and will sit on their own in the chair. See picture in the stroller of their new haircuts. They always look so much older after a haircut. We spent the morning in the MK and rode the tea cups, dumbo and toured Minnie and Mickey's houses. The boys were not happy with the mess that Mickey left in his kitchen--there was paint spilled all over! Mickey (aka Uncle Joey) called us the night before we left for disney and Luke specifically asked him to "clean up his kitchen, b/c we don't like a mess" but would you believe it was still a mess when we got there??? We met a few princesses which both boys liked and showed off their new haircuts. We went back to the room mid afternoon for naps which seemed to backfire everyday for Luke but Jack slept a few hours and we headed back for dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern. MK was not crowded at all and they had little street games set up for the kids all along Main Street--ring toss, jump rope, hula hoop, stickers etc..Luke could have stayed there all night just stacking rings and organizing the stuff. We struggled to take a few pics on our anniversary but the grumpies weren't having it. We headed to dinner and spent a lot of time with each character at our table and even Jack warmed up by the 4th or 5th character. They did really well for the character portion of the meal but after the last one, we needed to get out as meltdowns would be approaching.....
We stayed for Spectromagic but skipped out on the fireworks. Again in bed by 10 or so. The boys RARELY go to bed any later than 8PM so these late nights were really pushing them...
