Weekend Update

I've been a little preoccupied this week and am a little behind with my blogging but wanted to post some pix from the weekend with the Krechel kids. As I mentioned before, Steve and Kelli went to Bermuda for a long weekend so we had Ryan, Courtney and Rachel for the weekend. Jack and Luke were so excited to have them here it was adorable. The kids were all so good and were really a lot of fun. Boy do they say some hilarious things. A real threesome. Rachel who I will forever picture as a 1year old walking like a mummy chanting "duckum, duckum, duckum" is really growing up. She is a big kid now and just follows in Ryan and Courtney's footsteps. She is a beautiful little girl and is sweet as can be. Luke tried his darndest to get her to sleep in his room but she wasn't interested. We recently went to Build-A-Bear and Luke names his bear Rae. He couldn't wait to show her...she just giggled :) We tried to do some fun things with them while intermittently working on homework which seemed to be way too much in my opinion but I digress. On Sunday we went to Mass on campus at St. Joe's which is where I staged this little photo shoot. Yes, the boys actually have on non-matching shirts--I am slipping. Actually they are just overturning me. The green polo Jack has on is his favorite shirt (besides his pajamas natch) and he would definitely wear it everyday. They know so much about St. Joe's that I thought it would be fun to walk around a little and take some photos (versus just driving by like we do almost everyday on our way to various places to our East), but they wanted to go through the drive-thru at Dunkin Donuts (for bagels of course b/c every other product there has eggs in it) and didn't want to participate in my photo shoot. They told me that St. Joe's is where their Pop-Pop's went to school, Nana works and "Daddy was the hawk player". Jack loves going to the games with Dan. Luke not so much.

Tonight while watching Caillou they saw our neighbor Fletcher outside and they were screaming "Sweatshirt, guess what? We're watching Caillou. Sweatshirt can you hear us? They think his name is Sweatshirt--not Fletcher and I am done correcting them so sweatshirt it is for that little boy. Back to school tomorrow.....

SO, in the midst of procrastinating picking up the endless 'stuff', I did my regular blurfing (isn't that what they call blog surfing?), and while I always LOVE reading your posts, I literally laughed outloud at "sweatshirt." OH, I needed that!
