We have been in our house a little over 4 years now and the house project list is always growing. Coming off a 2 year hiatus, we are back in full swing trying to get some more things done. Living in a 100 year old house has it's charm but always things to update as well. Luckily the things we are doing are more cosmetic--bathrooms, closets, painting etc... but lots of work nonetheless! We are converting our 3rd floor into a large playroom for the boys, along with a bathroom, guest room and my P.Diddy closet (lots of clothes that no longer see the light of day since my wardrobe has been replaced with a mommy uniform). The space will be awesome for the boys but along with a 100 year old house comes plaster walls which if you have them in your house you know what a MESS they are when coming down. So we have severeal layers of white dust covering everything in the house. We are also building a large walk-in closet in our bedroom which meant moving everything into our current bedroom where we can no longer walk around. We have a queen bed standing up against the wall and piles of stuff everywhere else. The boys are thrilled to have something to "scale" and just sit at the top of the mattress pretending to be the "ting of the tastle" (aka King of the Castle). I let them do it b/c I can only imagine how much fun that must seem like to a 3 year old---I might even climb up there just to pretend that I'm really the King of the Castle.....
