The 4th of July was a real hit this year. In addition to loving the actual fireworks, they loved the noise. Which is a little unusual considering they cover their ears for everything over 10 decibels..."it's just too youd for us" We started off on their birthday with some little sparklers which entertained a captive audience--cousin Charlie and "girlfriend" Giuliana were mesmerized as well. On the actual 4th we entered them in Ocean City's local parade and caught some great fireworks that night on the OC boardwalk. (Mommy had some bad shellfish the night before and was out of commission--but happy to watch the parade from the comfort of my beach chair.) Even more exciting was the next day. Comcast had opened up several floors in their new building for employees to bring their families. So from the 43rd floor we actually looked down on the Philadelphia fireworks over Penn's Landing. It couldn't get more perfect for Jack and Luke--Daddy's building, fireworks, water ice and soft pretzels--they were in heaven--at least 43 floors closer! The strangest thing was that we couldn't hear anything which we thought would be ideal for their little ears but they really missed that part of it. This might be their favorite holiday....
