Family Photo Shoot
When Quinn was 6 days old we took him for his 1st professional photo shoot to a studio in Wilmington, DE called Little Nest. My bff Vanessa is a friend of the owner, Laura Novak. Her work is incredible--I mean really incredible (check out www.lauranovak.com , the studio is amazing and I am super happy with the pictures. They are all beautiful--mainly all black and whites b/c Quinn's coloring was a little purple (minor jaundice still going on at Day 6). Dan and I were positive that we would not be in any of the photos as we are both sleep deprived and looking rather worn--we thought kids only--but we are in a few as you will see with Dan's unshaven face and my flammable frizzy hair. I need Japanese hair straightening. But I digress....Anyway, she has this incredible space--a garage turned playroom/photo studio with lots of natural light, white furniture etc.. and the boys just loved playing there. The photographer Katie was a gem--she took the boys antics in stride and acted like it was all perfectly normal for 2 4-year olds to launch themselves off of the furniture and come charging at her from across the room. It's always hard for us to get a good family photo because one of the boys is always anti-photos the day we have our pictures taken and this day was really no different. They picked their own clothes that day which is a brown shirt with a large rocket on the chest (they've been into rockets for several months now) and I wasn't really thrilled about that but I brought other clothes thinking I could convince then to change into my typical uniform for them--striped polo shirts and khaki shorts. Wrong. So my primary goal was just to get some good newborn photos of Quinn--including one that Vanessa can use on his birth announcements. But now we are so torn about what to use. You can check them out at www.littlenestphoto.com go to the clients section and our password is gallagher. They will be on-line until Friday and I could use some input.

So, I am a sucker for photo shoots, so I was thrilled to see your post and the link to the pics...while there are some amazing and precious pics of the baby, the top pic of the twins could be an ad! It is FABULOUS! I love all the charm, energy, and personality in the pic. LOVE them. Thanks for sharing!
