No cavities!

Today has been a day that I have been dreading for some time...Jack and Luke's 1st dental appointment. I had been preparing myself that they would have "Cogan teeth", but secretly hoping that they would get Dan's teeth. My previous dental history has awarded me a million dollar mouth--well really my Mom and Dad have foot the majority of that bill--as I have had every dental/orthodontic procedure known to man. From braces to retainers, to many many cavities, to skin grafts, to root canal, I have had it all. Thankfully both boys walked out with not a single cavity or concern. The dentist was amazing and reaffirmed my claim that they have beautiful teeth!! We're so proud. Luke does need to get rid of his boo by the time he is 4 because it is affecting his bite. He actually cannot touch his top teeth with his bottom teeth at all. The dentist did say that he would prefer pacifiers any day of the week over thumb or finger sucking so all of you parents who are concerned about the pacifier--fear not....the bite will correct itself shortly after the permanent removal of the said device. Luke is still claiming that he is giving his boo to Avery on St. Patrick's Day so let's hope that works.

In 3 short weeks, we will know the gender of Baby #3 and honestly it just seems like it is worlds away. Jack and Luke are happily expecting a baby sister but we do believe all signs are pointing to a boy. Last night at bed time, Jack had a few name suggestions for the baby. His first choice is Jack, but if that doesn't make the short list then he would like Dragon Tale Gallagher or Pillow Fort Gallagher. I told him we would take them into consideration. Luke's only suggestion is Luke. It's a good thing we will have 20 weeks to prepare them for their new sibling.......Pillow Fort.
