Back from Disney!

We are back from our latest Disney adventure which I should mention will be our last for some time. I say 2 years, but Dan told the boys we would be back when they turn 15.....We planned on spending 4 relaxing days at the Animal Kingdom Lodge and only visiting the Magic Kingdom once. We ended up with 2 very sick little boys who required heavy doses of steroids and were practically attached to the nebulizer. When we arrived on Sunday they were both fighting colds which ended up escalating pretty fast. Jack and I spent 6 hours in a Pediatric Urgent Care Center in Orlando where they did more breathing treatments for him and diagnosed him with RSV. Luke spent most of his nights sleepless and was diagnosed on Thursday with a double ear infection. We went straight from the airport (and a very turbulent flight) to the pediatrician and will be staying in the house for the next week or so until I can get them both better. The most amazing thing is how they treat each other when they are sick--they are so concerned if the other one is going to be OK. When Jack and I went to the ER, Luke called to talk to Jack and all I heard from my end was Jack saying, "yes Wuke, I'm going to be fine...Ok Wuke I'll see you when we get back..I wuv you too". They are so lucky to have each other.

Illness aside, they LOVE Disney and seeing their favorite "taracters". We had the best day at the Magic Kingdom and they were so silly with all of the characters--Luke wanted to chat and Jack just wanted to rub them and squeeze their noses. They had fun on a few rides with Daddy and were just so excited about It's a Small World and the Magic Carpet ride! Mickey and Minnie didn't quite know how to react when Jack and Luke charged them announcing that they were wearing big boy underwear!!!!!! They were just so thrilled with themselves and were amazed to come back to our room to see a special postcard from Mickey Mouse with new Mickey underwear in our hotel room.....how does he do that??? It's magic! We went mini-golfing, went to many character meals and briefly walked around Downtown Disney. They both love to golf and are really doing a lot better each time we take them. Luke even had a hole in one.

I have attached lots of pictures--the Animal Kingdom Lodge was amazing--we saw animals constantly outside of our hotel room and it was a nice distraction to run out to the balcony to see who came to visit. On our last night we had dinner reservations at a nice Irish restaurant in Downtown Disney. We sat down and within 20 seconds both boys melted down and we had to leave. We did however have dinner at another fine Irish restaurant--McDonald's! The orange drink didn't quite meet Dan's expectations of needing a good pint of beer but we toasted our cheeseburgers to our life with toddlers!
