Holiday catch up

Well since our decorations are down I figured it would be time to post an update and just a few pictures. We had a really nice relaxing Christmas and vacation. For the 1st time ever we spent Christmas Eve at our house and woke up Christmas morning to Santa, went to church and had a nice brunch later with both of our parents and Aunt Colleen. It was a surprisingly quiet morning and day for us which was very enjoyable. A change in tradition, we celebrated with my family on Christmas Eve-eve and had our usual dollar gifts/polyanna bonanza a night early. The date didn't matter, just that we were all there as usual. Christmas evening we spent with Nana and Pop Pop Gallagher and Grammy. Quinny got a tickle me Elmo from Nana and Pop Pop that he just loves! He says "Elmo loves tickles", but Jack and Luke insist he says Elmo loves pickles! We still have some Gallagher celebrations coming up that we are looking forward to--which are always fun!

The boys were off for 2 1/2 weeks and Dan took a week off too. We had lots of days of just being and enjoyed new Christmas toys and staying on top of our basement finishing project. It's always been Dan's dream to finish our basement and dedicate some space for a small gym for him. No time like the present so after having it waterproofed in October, the real "work" began. It will be a nice amount of space for the boys and a great winter escape!!
