Ocean City

We just got back from a week in Ocean City with the Gallaghers to celebrate Dan's Dad's 70th birthday. We had a GREAT week. The whole gang was there and we had a really relaxing week. No plans any day--just went to the beach everyday and the boys loved every minute. Quinn is not quite a beach bum yet, but 1 night he seemed to love it and really crawled around in the sand with a huge smile on his face. I think the main problem is the sun. Red heads and the sun have a love-hate relationship. And he is getting redder by the day!
We celebrated the big birthday with a day on the beach--including matching beach attire (see photo), cake, a slideshow with lots of oldies and a big memory book from all of his friends and family. We wanted to stick to a Philadelphia theme since Dan's Dad's name is Phil and he loves all things Philly--pizza, cheesesteaks, soft pretzels...you get the idea. Two Paperdolls designed the logo and we were off! It was so fun and we had a good time making all the plans, looking at old pictures and keeping it a surprise from him.
We also spent a day in Cape May which is always a highlight. Dan and I love it there and the boys love going to the zoo. We had a picnic lunch, took a horse and carriage ride and walked around the shops. Jack and Luke picked a Christmas ornament which is always an hilarious ordeal. Luke picks the biggest, shiniest, brightest ornament he can find and Jack picks something really small but never one to settle for what I tell him, asks for 2 when he has trouble deciding.

I am still trying to sort out my pictures, but for now here is one of the Gallaghers on the beach. (I took 950 in the month of July alone and I think the Mac doesn't quite know how to deal with me yet.)
