We took Quinn for his 1st trip to Ocean City for a long Labor Day weekend and he did great--"he just loved it" according to Jack and Luke! He gave us his 1st official smile--not just gas and he got his 1st look at the Atlantic Ocean--even got to dip his toes in. We rode bikes, went on the rides with The Costals, spent lots of time on the beach and had a really good weekend. They got to see Mom Mom and Pop-Pop and Nana and Pop-Pop and Charlie, Finny, Aunt Shani and Uncle Joey. The boys are always sad to leave and wish we lived there.
Quinn had his 3rd Doctors appointment today for what we believed to be food allergies and as suspected they think he has a dairy allergy--meaning he is allergic to the dairy that I am eating and being passed through the breast milk. He is such a calm baby that the only "symptom" he has is blood in his poop--a pretty alarming symptom though when you see it in a newborns diaper considering the only thing he eats is white. So long story short, I am off dairy. Which may present a problem for my M&M breakfast with whole milk, followed by my lunch of 2 yogurts, a cheese stick and Tastykakes. :) Dinner gets better don't worry. So here's hoping that eliminating milk will solve the problem and I will continue breastfeeding as usual.
In other news, Jack and Luke are getting ready for school which starts next week. Haircuts-check. New shirts-check. New socks/shoes-check. Positive attitude about school--check (for Jack)! We're still working on Luke.....Jack continues to keep him in line.
