While Dan was away traveling this week we took a day trip out to Lancaster for Day Out With Thomas. We've gone before and the boys really like it, although they are way more excited by all the cows, horses and new to their 4 year old interests--cow poop--that we see on our drive to Lancaster. Luke kept calling it "Lancander" and Jack thought it was "Language". The boys especially liked riding on these push cars called Cranky Cars--which on the car ride home they referred to as the "grumpy cars". Shannon met us there with Charlie and Finny since Thomas is one of Finn's favorite things. He was a little overwhelmed by "Pomas" though and didn't like it as much as we thought he would. He's still content to just keep Thomas in the confines of his TV screen. Jack and Luke are always happy to be with their cousins although it gets a little rowdy.Straight from Lancaster (and a brief stop at the outlets) we drove to Ocean City for a short stay. Long enough to get to the boardwalk, go on the rides, get Rita's and Salt Water Taffy. Unfortunately the weather was a little April-like and it was too rainy/windy to take them to the beach. They went on a few new rides this time as they exceed the 36" height requirement this year. The toddler bumper cars were their new favorite and it was hilarious to see them bump in to each other and then giggle in glee. They are always happy to get to Ocean City to see Mom-Mom and Pop-Pop.
Tomorrow is 33 weeks for me and we're getting really excited for the little guy to get here. He moves around so much--way more than the boys ever could. Jack and Luke were mainly busy throwing elbows or kicking each other but this baby really makes large motions and I can feel a lot more. His room is almost done--a few more little things need to be finished but hopefully I'll post some pictures this weekend. We kept the walls and rug the same but spruced it up with new furniture, a new overstuffed rocker (which Dan and I could sit in all day long) and some new decorations. Stay tuned...
