So we took the boys to Bryn Mawr Hospital last night for a sibling class which ended up consisting of 8 little boys aged 3-5 (aka Big Brother Class). The boys really loved it--they colored, answered questions, practiced holding a doll and got a tour of the nursery. At the end of class they came up 1 by 1 for "graduation", shook the teachers hand and got a certificate and coloring book. They were so proud! Luke was smiling at Dan and I the whole time giving us the thumbs up sign across the room and Jack was right up front listening to every word the teacher said. Typical behavior for them. It was nice for them to see where they were born too--although their stay was limited to the NICU only.
Our 8 week countdown is on and as of my last appointment they are guessing the baby weighs just over 4 pounds. I should make it until August this time but they really don't know. A week early would be nice but we certainly don't want my water to break at 34 weeks again.
The boys started camp a few days this week at their Pre-School and will go for 2-3 weeks in July as well. They seem to really like it and it gives me a little break in the morning--which so far as just been going from 1 Doctor appointment to the next.
Dan and I are trying to cross things off our to-do list before August arrives as we know how busy things will get once the little guy arrives. Power washing and staining the deck is this week's project. I guess the honeymoon's over when you're 8+ months pregnant and power washing your deck. Just kidding--Dan would rather I didn't do it but it's addictive and actually pretty fun. (No, I'm not available to do yours though). Like they say, that's why you have a 30 year mortgage!
On Sunday Luke and I went to church by ourselves because we just couldn't wrangle Jack into the car. It was a rough morning. So anyway, Luke and I had a great time and Luke was so wonderful in mass. At one point he leaned over to me and said, (pointing to the cross) "I know that's Jesus, but who are those other people again?". Just can't seem to remember the supporting cast. And then after Communion, "you're wight Mommy, this church stuff isn't so bad after all". We always try to have some one-on-one time with each of them but it doesn't happen as often as we would like. They really are so different and it's nice to get a chance to appreciate that.
