We miss you Daddy.

Today was a fun day at school for the boys despite the fact that it is absolutely freezing outside and they had to wear 5 layers of clothing. They really seem to enjoy it more each day. Luke is really amazing with his coloring and interest in arts&crafts. His teacher told me that he sat by himself and colored for 45 minutes last week--pretty amazing for a 3 year old. Jack is a little teacher's helper and is always front and center for any stories, Spanish class, music class etc...hmmm--sound like anyone we know??? They are learning some Spanish (which is enhancing Mommy's Dora the Explorer course in the Spanish culture) and it is quite amazing to hear them say a word in Spanish after I say it in English. Dan is in Orlando today so we have been entertaining ourselves with lots of books and Blues Clues although they miss Daddy and wonder if he's taking Thomas The Tank home or the R5? Mabel and Christian came over for dinner as they are also solo for the evening. Always a fun visit. After a quick swim in the tub I was dressing Luke and he stood straight up, looked me in the eye and said "Mommy I love you sooo much". Is there anything better in the world? As I was cleaning up and getting things ready for bed I walked back into the living room to see the 2 of them on the couch with their bedtime book selections.....no, I did not stage this photo. They're just so advanced that Dr. Seuss just isn't meeting their needs over here--we're on to Primal Leadership and The Five Dysfunctions of a Team. Luke was just explaining to Jack what a gripping analysis of what makes teams work effectively this book is. Next week The Five Temptations of a CEO. Just some light bedtime reading.
