Since my last post, 6 weeks ago, we have been busy enjoying Spring, playing lots of Tee Ball, blowing bubbles, celebrating Easter, going on field trips and enjoying busy weekends. Dan and I have even had a few date nights over the last month. The boys have had a bunch of special activities in school including a recent trip to the Grist Mill in Glen Mills, conservancy trips and of course Spring Break. Quinny is always happy to tag along with his happy dance and huge grin. We celebrated Easter here at our house, complete with a cousins egg hunt and lots of pictures. Dan and I thought we were being good little Easter bunnies by putting all the eggs in the backyard the night before but woke up in the morning to find dozes of plastic eggs eaten through by the squirrels and wrappers all over the back lawn. Luke cried out the back window that "Easter was spoiled", but Jack talked him out of it. We had a practice hunt the day before which was perfect for Quinny who was napping during the big hunt on Easter Day.
Quinny is becoming quite a little talker like his brother Luke and pretends to talk on the phone by saying "Heddo Pop Pop?" It's always Pop Pop. Lucky for him he can't get it wrong since both grandfathers are called Pop Pop. His vocab is growing everyday and some of our favorites include, "I DID it", hi-five, HI-Pod, houseside for outside, yay!, Hot Dog for Mickey Mouse and lots more...He is adorable! He is such a combination of the 2 boys but we see more of Luke in him everyday. He loves his brothers so much. The Kindergarten teachers have commented that Quinn is like the class mascot b/c he is a part of everything they do--by Jack and Luke's suggestion or other kids in the class. He says Hi and Bye to everyone and knows most of the kids names.
Tee Ball has been going well. It's amazing to see the progress since last year. Jack loves every minute of it and Luke is just in it for the antics. But we show up and do our best.
We are counting down the days until weekends in Ocean City and have a surprise trip to Disney planned in a few weeks. We are not telling the boys until the morning of the trip and are secretly packing so they don't see any suitcases. I am like one of those nerdy commercials where the parent can't sleep the night before the Disney trip. They love Disney and ask Dan all the time when we are going back.
All 3 are just growing so much everyday--what a joy to watch them! Happy Spring :)
