Sirens. Blog down. Blog down.

Once again my computer has been attacked by a virus that I cannot remove, so my blog will be temporarily down. Well it might just be text-only so no one goes into Gallagher blog withdrawal. I am checking email from Dan's laptop but that's the extent of it--can't download my massive picture files. Maybe Santa will bring us a new computer. hint hint.
We are having a fun time getting the boys ready for Christmas. They were so much more respectful of Santa last year though. All we had to do was mention Santa and they straightened right up. Not this year. Until yesterday when all 3 of them received letters from the big guy himself--via the South Jersey post office. Aunt Shani (eh hem I mean Santa) knew just what to say and told them they are at the top of Santa's good list. Well, that just made their day. Santa even told Jack that he has an egg allergy and is requesting egg-free cookies this year. Jack cannot "beweive" that Santa is "awwergic" to eggs just like he is. So great! We have seen Santa at least 5 times this season and we truck ourselves anywhere we think he might be. The boys love it and Quinny even chuckles.
Looks like our 20 inches of snow isn't going anywhere this week and we will have a white Christmas after all. I can't remember the last one. Jack and Luke did get out in the snow yesterday but after an hour they came in freezing and crying. We only had rain boots and they were not cutting it. New boots on the way from Lands End!
We have also been enjoying our advent calendar and wreath and trying to do fun activities each day. However, I'm struggling a little bit in the patience department this year and some days just don't go so well. Why can't I just be more like my Dad? Lack of sleep is tough. Quinn is still waking up about 3 times each night. Friday night I actually got 5 consecutive hours of sleep--the longest stretch in about 3 months. Dear Santa, please bring Quinny a full night's sleep. 10-5 would be a miracle.
Enjoy this week before Christmas. Be safe.

A few things heard in our house this week...
Jack: Christmas is about Jesus birthday Luke when they were in Bethlehem. You have to take a jet plane to get to Bethlehem--it's really far away.
Luke: yeah, I hope those Wisemen don't come here.

Me: reading one of our advent calendar messages about Jesus Christ (I always just say Jesus or Baby Jesus) and as soon as the word Christ came out of my mouth I knew I would have some explaining to do...
Jack: What's Christ mean?
Me: uhh...
Jack: Oh I know Mommy. He's a part of the Christ family. He's a Christ. Like I'm a Gallagher.
Me: yup. (that sounds good until next year!)
