Mulchin' with Daddy

The boys have been in heaven the last 2 days. Tuesdays and Fridays are always exciting for them b/c it's trash day and they love the trash trucks. Every other Friday is a double bonus as the recycling trucks also come. Yesterday we had a mound of mulch delivered in our driveway and the Asplundh trucks were on our street for hours trimming all the trees near the power lines. We sat on the porch for hours watching all of the trucks. Of course once that giant pile of mulch hit our driveway, they have been scheming ways to get working on it. As you'll see in the pictures, Luke "borrowed" a truck from Duke Cloran and Jack is filling their John Deere wheelbarrow (thanks Col and boys!) and then they proceed to push it all around and just dump it on the grass--which thrills Dan. We're making them their own little garden area that they can "maintain"--which basically entails digging for worms and transferring dirt from one area to the next. All I know is they are quiet, never fight and LOVE being outside so they can dig all they want. Shockingly they are both napping right now--I guess that's what an 85 degree day and digging in mulch for hours does to you. We may have weekly deliveries of mulch....

I've attached some photos to make up for my last entry that didn't have any. They're just too cute not to include. I think Luke is on his toes in one of the pictures. He's not really that much taller than Jack but I guess that's what they'll be doing as they get older......Dan and David have been pulling that trick for years.
