Quinn walks!

We have had a bunch of things going on in the last few weeks and it seems like 1 huge milestone has slipped between the cracks. Our little Quinny finally took his first step. It happened on Sept 20--so over 2 weeks ago now--in Nana and Pop Pop's kitchen. He stood straight up in the middle of the floor, steadied himself and took off (2-3 steps) for Jack. Since then, the boys get so excited for him and scream and clap so loud that Quinn gets scared and just falls down. He still prefers crawling but is doing more walking every day. It is so exciting to see. 1st or 3rd child it is still just as exciting. I'm sure by the end of the month he will be all over the place. He is quite a climber though just like Jack and Luke. He has been found on the kitchen table, standing on chairs, at the top of the stairs, the back of the couch etc...we have another little monkey on our hands! Yay for Quinny. We also celebrated our best bud Landon's 5th birthday at the Please Touch Museum. Aunt Vanessa had a Mario Kart party and little Mario (aka Landon) was thrilled. It was awesome! Jack, Luke and Landon are the 3 amigos--best friends like their mommies!

The Fall is one of the boys favorite times of year because, like most kids, they love Halloween. They jointly decided to be ghosts this year. I'm not forcing them to match anymore but on days like this they usually decide to do the same thing. The costumes came today and they are both thrilled. Quinn and Daddy are going to be a little team this year which I will save until we get closer to Halloween. Dan is a good sport and has been Eeyore, Tire tracks, The Man in the Yellow Hat etc..so you'll just have to wait and see. Stay tuned...We also recently got a firepit which Dan has always wanted so we had our inaugural fire last week with the Gallaghers and Benders who were all in town. We made smores and it was a hit!

All is going great in Kindergarten and Quinn and I have a nice little morning routine now which usually consists of him napping and me cleaning. The quiet is nice. Jack and Luke are becoming quite the little Phillies fans these days. Dan and David went to the game tonight so Jack and I sat on the couch tonight holding hands watching the game and Jack yelled "cmon Phillies, show em what you got.." How does a 5 year old know "what they got?" Just holding hands with him was enough to hook me....Looks like I may have to become a sports fan after all....
